ETHICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY


Ecoshopdirect is committed to minimising adverse effects on the environment whilst maintaining the high standards necessary to meet the needs of our customers. We will not compromise upon this objective. We believe that sustainability and business growth are wholly compatible.

We will set as a minimum, compliance with environmental legislation, and seek to set new standards for our industry as a way of meeting our customers’ demands and beliefs.

Within this, we will comply with the Environmental hierarchy of:

Reduce
Re-Use
Recycle

The employees and customers of ecoshopdirect share a role in order to ensure that the environmental objectives are met, not least in the commitment to reduce packaging waste through the re-use of materials where practical.

Ecoshopdirect is committed to a goal of nil waste and the optimum use of materials from sustainable resources. Where this goal cannot be met in the short-term, ESD will ensure that all materials are disposed of in a responsible fashion to approved and appropriately licensed agencies.

Ecoshopdirect will never use materials that are known pollutants where equivalent materials are available.

Ecoshopdirect is committed to using suppliers who must demonstrate their own adherence to ethical and environmental practices.

Our ultimate goal is sustainability - of resources, of power, and of packaging throughout the Supply Chain. Furthermore, direct supply to – from door to door - to minimise the financial and environmental costs to our customers, forms a fundamental part of this goal.
